Introductions

_DSC9448-2-2Born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, Clare considers music a school for life. Her earliest formation began with Shenandoah University where she sang with the Top of Virginia Girls Choir and was an active member of the Shenandoah Harp Ensemble and Shenandoah University Youth Orchestra. Later she would perform with the AYOP Orchestra in the greater D.C. metro area including the Kennedy Center. After earning her bachelor’s degree, she went on to study harp performance and voice at Johns Hopkins University conservatory branch, the Peabody Institute, during 2007The following years she continued playing across the East Coast from Georgia all the way up to Ontario, Canada. She began a private studio in 2007 and was the music director for a private school in Bethesda, Maryland until 2012. Apart from her independent work, she performs with nationally recognized artists and ensembles for special projects. She now creates and performs for numerous workshops, concerts and musical presentations across the U.S.  She is a member of the American Harp Society.
